Summer is here and the forests are an excellent shelter from the heat and burning sun. However, forests are not self-evident; in the future we could be a witness of strong transformations of forests as a result of climate change.
Last week, in the framework of the largest European environmental event, Green Week, awards were given to the best LIFE projects, completed in 2016 and 2017. Among the awarded projects was also Slovenian LIFE project SI Natura 2000 Management.
The LIFE programme published a call for co-financing traditional, integrated, preparatory and technical assistance projects for 2018. This year, they will invest close to €400 million in nature conservation, environmental protection and climate action.
