Last week a part of the LIFE CB SI team visited the National Contact Point in Spain. The purpose of the visit was to exchange experiences with the implementation of the LIFE programme with our Spanish colleagues, especially since Spain is among the countries that benefit the most from LIFE programme.

On Tuesday, 29th November 2016, the first in a series of workshops to establish a system of decision-making on irrigation was held at the headquarters of ROD agency for Development Ajdovščina. Two months passed by therefore a new exhibition is set in the lobby of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning. Successors of WETMAN’s exhibition are projects LIFE PharmDegrade and LIFE Stop CyanoBloom, both coordinated by company Arhel Ltd.

The European Commission has approved an investment package of € 222.7 million from the budget of the European Union to support Europe’s transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon future. In total 398.6 million is to be invested in 144 new projects in 23 Member States.
One of the actions of our project LIFE Capacity Building Slovenia is also study visits of National Contact Points (NCP) of other member states. The aim of these visits is to exchange experience and best practices with the implementation of LIFE programme. Therefore we visited last week our Polish colleagues.
